Sefton Park is Public Park in South Liverpool. It is also known as ‘The Hyde Park of the North’.

In 1867 a French landscape architect (Edouard Andre) was given the contract to design the park. Work was also done on the park by Lewis Hornblower.

The park is one of Liverpool’s beauty spots and with 640 acres (2.6 km²) in area; the site had been purchased by the Liverpool City Council from the Earl of Sefton.

One of the parks main attractions is the boating lake which used to be home to a model pirate ship, before it fell apart from age. The park is also home to a statue of Peter Pan.
