- Kettlebells
Kettlebells, in my opinion are the greatest training tool. Using a combination of both aerobic (cardiovascular) and anaerobic (strength) it combines all the disciplines required for a complete workout. A lot of the movements focus on and around the lower back, hip flexors and abdominals (core). Unlike most weight movements you are not focusing on one area. You are getting a complete body workout maximizing your calorie output.
- Sandbags
Who would have thought a water barrier could be used as a training tool! Sandbags not only require effort to lift but also due to the distribution of the weight, balancing the bags makes it an even greater challenge. This puts a greater emphasis on your core and makes even the simplest of movements, such as sit ups or press ups harder and will push your body to greater limits.
- Boxing
One of the greatest workouts you can ever do. Boxing is, and will continue to be one of the most popular ways of getting fit and in shape. Its fun, enjoyable and ‘bloody hard work’ as my clients say!
Using both aerobic and anaerobic activity the amount of calories burnt in boxing is HUGE. Next time you are bored or in the gym just punch the air (shadow box) for a minute and see the amount of work that goes in to this discipline.
All boxing is are fully supervised and we only use focus pads!
- Body Weight
Press-ups, sit-ups, star jumps, dragon lunges, dipped squats you name it, we do it! Body weight exercises are one of the most productive training tools you can use. We pride ourselves in teaching clients exercises they can do without having to attend a gym and all the different types of training techniques you will learn empahasise this.
For example, even the simplest position changes of the hand, body or feet can affect distribution of body weight and in turn can make a huge difference to how difficult an exercise is. Throughout the course you will learn this.
- Running
Not everyone’s favourite exercise and sticking to our plan we cater for the individual and not only the team. So you are not pushed in to running 5 miles on your first session. We take into account the individuals current level of fitness and build on this.
You will however be pushed in to what you can do and we will help you to build up your running ability and make sure you are taken to your greatest fitness ability.
However, we do allow for the fact that due to injury some people are not able to run and this is taken into consideration.
- Team Events
Apart from the physical results of our fitness boot camps one of the biggest compliments we recieve is regarding the social side gained. We place a great emphasis on initiating people interacting so you can meet some like-minded people and the atmoshpere is always great.
We know how hard it can be to exercise and with all the new people you will meet this will make it more enjoyable and easier. For this reason team events are a great training tool.
We can take you back to the highland games with the kettlebells, shot put events and loads of other team events. Even the traditional game of British Bulldog!
We promise you will not find another class like this in Liverpool and that is why we have such a low turnover of clients.
